All rooms includeThe classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic much–photographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
see all hotels in Canal Loop"If you are looking for an unpleasant stay try Hotel Rembrandt"by M from Ontario, Canada
Worst checkin and front desk staff I had encountered during my one month European trip. Long delay, mixed up booking and lousy customer service. Dont depend on info from the front desk, always incorrect. They were even capable in messing up with our airport transport. We have raised our concern, no one dares to come and explain. Room itself was ok, as long as you can avoid staying on the ground level close to the entrance doors, very noisy. Convenient location though. For sure wont return and wont recommend to anyone. A lot to choose from in the same area. Unless you wouldnt mind trying your luck.
"Would definately recommend to others"by E from Manchester
This hotel was quite central and was on one of the canals. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely view over the water. We did not eat there so do not know what the food was like. The staff were helpful, giving us a map of the area when we first got there to leave our bags (as it was too early to check in) and telling us about certain areas to visit. Later our bags were brought to our room. The TV did not work although we spent our time out & about anyway, so this was not a problem to us. The room and hotel were very clean. I would recommend this to others.
"Second time around-still GOOD"by F from Scotland
This was our second stay at the Rembrandt Hotel and now I remember why I liked it the first time. The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. After a long day from walking around, throwing myself into that bed was like a bubble bath commercial. You can't beat that kind of comfort along with cleanliness & location. The only thing we missed this trip was not being able to smoke in the rooms/hotel. Everything is now smoke free, it was slightly disappointing on that end this go round. Overall, I recommend it highly.
"Good experience"by C from London, UK.
Friendly staff, comfortable room and hot shower. Really convenient location and a good price. Bar was pretty small, but that didn't bother me at all.

"Great hotel"by J from London
My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and everything was very good. Lovely big, clean room with a fantastic view of the canal. We did not require anything more than the room but staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was nice. No complaints.
"the best place to rest your head near to dam square"by t from horsham, west sussex
this hotel was very clean and comfortable. the staff all were very helpful. our room was also clean and the beds were very comfortable. the only negative comment i would make is that the day we had a breakfast the hot food was cold and the hot trays were not filled up very quickly with new hot food.
"Excellent location all else grim"by g from brussels
Check-in took 40 minutes and we were then given the keys to a room already occupied. Embarrassing. They changed the room but then the keys didn't work. All in all over an hour to check in and drop our bags. Room was at the back, overlooking an inner well so quite dark. But it was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was cramped and had bad mildew and the shower was great if you are three feet tall. The one stand-out feature of this hotel is it's location: it;s fabulous, right on the canal. (Not that you see it if you're at the back, as most rooms seem to be). We'll go back to the area definitely, but not this hotel.
