although this is an older hotel with less frills and sophistication than many it is an ideal place to stay if you want centre strip on a smaller budget. within easy walking distance of the major name casinos and hotels and all of the razzmatazz they offer - so enjoy the facilities they offer and just bed down here. best not to eat here as the food in vegas is so plentiful and elsewhere of a rather better quality (for cheap eats try downtown around the freemont street area). room was large and cleaned daily with efficient but loud air conditioning and the king size bed was very comfortable. quite a popular casino with lookalike dealertainers putting on free entertainment a couple of times daily. overall value for money but don't expect vegas style luxury and glitz you'll need to pay a lot more for that in this town.

We had show tix at the Orleans, so a cab ride from the IP cost 15 dollars. On the way back we had the cab drop us off at NY/NY and used the monorail for which we had bought tix the day before to get back to IP. It was a 6 dollar difference in the cab ride

ride the duce $5.00 24-hour period, good deals at the outlet malls, along with all the other stores on the strip. Lots of walking, make sure you have a good pair of shoes

Go to Ellis Island Brewery about 2 blocks from Bally's for $1 beer and a $6.99 steak special. The bear is microbrew and surprisingly good! The dinner was good, especially for the price!
