Would recommend the Bentley Hotel

We found the Bentley Hotel excellent value for money. The staff could not have been more helpful and the room was very nice. On the downside the hotel is a tiny bit far from the subway and about a 20mins walk from Central Park. However, we are fit and enjoy walking so it suited us . The continental breakfast could be better - the toasters were poor and only toasted slices on one side, thus everyone was frustrated with the equipment.

a little disappointing

I would have loved to have loved this hotel. the staff were very friendly from the start and the room was spacious and clean. We were staying on the 3rd floor so the view wasn't astounding but someone has to be there. From the room it was very easy to hear anything going on in the hallway and from the adjoining rooms. the room next to us was undergoing construction at the time so at different points throughout the morning we had drills and hammers to contend with. The water supply was also stopped for i guess to be about an hour at about 10 in the morning with no warning. When it came back on it was brown for about 30 minutes. I wouldn't go back in a hurry which is a shame i think.

Nice Hotel

The Bentley was a nice Hotel, the door men were very nice and friendly, i would say our room was a little small but clean and comfy. I found it a little out of the way but it was within walking distance to shops etc

Would definitely go back

On first impressions the hotel is stylish and welcoming with air con which was a must as tje temprature was in the 90's and humid. Was booked on the 5th floor on the first night - big mistake. It was so close to the road was unable to sleep. Staff kindly and without fuss moved us to the 15th floor - bliss. Room serivce was excellent. The top floor restaurant is worth a nosey. I was a pleasent 10 minute walk to the subway. Location was good upper east manhattan, close to 1st,2nd,3rd, 4th & 5th Ave as well as lexington. And for the yogis in you try the jivamukti school which is close by. There is a generous mis of eateries. If you want plain n simple try the ritz for breakfast or a healthier option is the food emporium under the bridge. For everyday goods dirt cheap brand names try bed bath n beyond next to the food emporium. Consierge - excellent saved so much time. Missing newyork already!
