My first impression of the hotel was it's a bit strange having the reception on the second floor, but no big deal. The hotel looks new with new fixtures and fittings throughout and for the star rating, nicely done. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor, which is at the top but had no view to speak of. The room itself was excellent, not big but not small either, very nicely and newly decorated simple but modern styling with wooden flooring. The bathroom was good and again brand new, with walk in shower and under floor heating. The bed was also new and very comfortable, there was a good sized flat screen tv, although not much choice of channels. I used the safe which took my 17" laptop and full sized SLR camera no problem, and the internet access, which is complementary, worked fine and was fast. What I particularly liked, apart from the location, was how helpful the staff were and that my room had the latest copy of Time Out as and a couple of current restaurant guide magazines. The only thing I'd have preferred would have been a bigger window for more natural light. I looked in at the breakfast one morning and decided to eat out, but it was busy and everyone else seemed quite content, I guess I'm just extra picky. The location of the hotel is brilliant, right on the edge of Little Italy and Chinatown, and with easy access to the East Village, Soho etc, there are loads and loads of places to eat and drink of all types and price ranges within walking distance.

Very clean, business class hotel, well situated in Chinatown, close to Grand St Metro and the Bowery (the old home of punk club CBGBs).
