Although the factories are long gone, their cast iron and mason buildings remain, now housing art galleries, high-end retail, and some of the city’s best restaurants. Robert De Niro’s TriBeCa Film Festival helped reestablish the area as a cultural zone after the 9/11 attacks. Nearby, Chinatown expands into Little Italy.

its well situated in manhattan. all the subway lines are within easy reach. everything from shopping to sightseeing is all a short hop away. the rooms were well maintained and clean for the duration of the stay. staff were friendly and courtious at all times. would happily stay there again if i was in new york.
"GREAT LOCATION"by B from MANCHESTER
HOTELS IN MANHATTAN ARE ALL VERY EXPENSIVE, SO ONCE YOU REALISE THAT, THIS HOTEL BECOMES NORMALLY PRICED. IT IS VERY CLEAN, STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY, ROOM CLEANED EVERY DAY AND THE ROOM WAS SURPRISINGLY ROOMY GIVEN THE GENERAL REVIEWS OF OTHER HOTELS. COFFEE MACHINE IN ROOM, FRESH BOTTLES OF WATER EVERY DAY.GREAT LOCATION IF YOU WANT TO STAY AND BE AROUND SOHO. IN MY OPINION IT IS THE COOLEST PLACE IN NY. MUCH BETTER THAN THE TOURIST TRAPS OF MIDTOWN. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TURN LEFT AND HEAD UP LAFAYETTE STREET UNTIL YOU REACH EITHER BROOME ST OR SPRING STREET AND YOU ARE IN THE THICK OF IT. YOU CAN ALSO GET THE 6 SUBWAY FROM SPRING ST CORNER AND YOU CAN HEAD UPTOWN FROM THERE. THE LAST DAY THEY WERE REALLY HELPFUL AND ALSO PROVIDED A PRIVATE HIRE CAR TO JFK FOR ONLY 5 BUCKS MORE THAN THE MAD YELLOW CABBIES! VERY GOOD HOTEL FOR A CLEAN COMFORTABLE AND CONVENIENT BASE.
