The Upper West Side includes the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the American Museum of Natural History, and Columbia University. Harlem, the legendary African American neighborhood, lies north and caps Manhattan.

Good location but I was expecting at this price for this to be a modest boutique hotel, however the sparse rooms resemble cells. Though I knew there'd be shared bathrooms, I didn't expect that there'd be no wash-basin in the room or that a corridor would have just two tiny bathrooms, with the lavatories in them (2 people take showers in the morning and everyone else is stranded!)
"Fantastic location and quite"by c from aberdeen
I wasn't sure what to expect when arriving late at night. The woman on the front desk was a bit depressing and negative. Once in room my first thoughts were of a cell but the room just like the hotel grow on you and i was sad leaving the hotel at the end of 5 nights. Bathroom and toilets were spotless as were the bed sheets ( i did have spare sheets from home just in case but no need ) The hotel was 5 min walk to central park and 2 min from 72ND metro/tube. Id highly recommend this hotel but saying that i wouldn,t take my family there. Best for the single/couple travellers who don't need brass taps. I'll be going back no problem.
