Millenium Hilton NY

Great hotel room was just what was required. The reception and concierge were very helpful at all times. Location was great for metro stations and century 21! The only problems i encountered was breakfast at the hotel was expensive and the range of breakfast was not great no pancakes or french toast on the menu which would be expected in my book. The location is amazing and if u are attached to ground zero like me then the view is amazing only problem is that it has turned into a 24/7 construction site so the hotel is a nono for light to medium sleepers ear plugs are a must.

If you don't mind an early start this hotel is an excellent option

If you're looking for a high quality and good value downtown option you can't go too far wrong with the Millenium Hilton. I needed to be near the Brooklyn Bridge for a commute into Dumbo, so the location is perfect for this, as well as the financial district obviously. The room was a standard single king bed and was very comfortable and the most spacious such room I've stayed in in New York. Good facilities and the pool was a bonus. As other reviewers will no doubt mention, you need to be aware that many rooms overlook the Ground Zero construction site, where work begins at about 6AM. As a father of two small children this did not put me off - in fact my room on a high floor had fascinating views over the site, the river and the harbour and Jersey City beyond), but if you're looking for a peaceful lie in, it's probably not for you at the moment. Also, it's an unashamedly big, corporate style hotel, so you'll find more interesting (though undoubtedly more expensive) options nearby if you're looking for a more boutiquey feel. But if you're after predictable, good quality service then this is a sound choice.

take your ear plugs!!!

although the staff were helpful the hotel has its flaws.. no matter how high your room you will hear the builing work at ground zero from 7am til 11pm so very hard to relax and watch tv or read a book.the cleaners are only around in the mornings as our nieghbour would leave his dinner tray out and it would still be there all night. the reason i would stay else where next time tho is the location as it will cost you on average 50 bucks to get to 5th ave and back for your shopping!!
