arrived approx 13.00, reception informed us that there was approx 2 hour wait for non smoking bed room or we could have a look at a bedroom on the smoking floor, and take it or return to reception, we had a look at room 3215 which was a corner bedroom, the view was brilliant, looking towards the UN building and east river, there was no problem with smoke, but the corridor did smell a bit, but no problem. reception very good.we left our luggage at hotel on last day which was very helpful.swimming pool on 27th floor had great views of lower manhattan,we did noy use restaurant but had breaksat in johns approx 2 minutes away towards grand central station

The most spectacular feature, by far, was the sweeping views over Manhattan from north to south (west tower, window facing west). The pool was small (but very nice to have) albeit in the East tower and had views east over the river. The hotel restaurant was closed for dinners, and I didn't try room service, but the "Italian steakhouse" across the road was pretty good. Other slight downsides: poor TV reception on a couple of channels, and the pool closed earlier than stated in the hotel info folder. Overall, a decent stay and I'd stay there again.

We spent 2 stays of 3 days each here recently. The only complaints would be that the pool now shuts at 6pm so if you want to dive in after a long day sight seeing or shopping then you may be disappointed. The pool also is said to be kept at a steady 30 degrees but we swim every week in pools at home and abroad and it was chilly ! Hotels has great views, great location, is well kept and staff are excellent

Stayed at Millennium UN Plaza on business and pleasure. Good hotel, well located, comfortable room. Would certainly go back. But hotel lacks the frills that would make it great. Carpet in hallway poor - and we paid for the more expensivev tower. Entry on arrival not easy. We got there after midnight. No staff apart from one at desk. External doors all locked except for reevolving door which was difficult to negotiate with cases. No shower cap in bathroom. Sheets not changed daily. But great views, confortable bed, everyone friendly. Staqf very good in daytime.

If you are happy to walk, this is a great hotel. The room was great, the staff were excellent, there was no traffic noise to disturb us. Situated on E.44th St (1st/2nd Ave.) it was approximately 15 minutes walk to Times Square. If you are coming by taxi from JFK there is no cross-town traffic to negotiate so you get to the hotel quickly. There are always cabs by the hotel because of its proximity to the UN. We will certainly stay here again.

The moment we walked into our hotel room we could not believe the view! We sailed to NYC on the QM2 and watched her sail off again from our room at 5pm. We have stayed in NYC a number of times now, from cheap and cheerful hotels to this one. It was fanastic, I'd stay again and well worth the money.

clearly a business hotel,so good if you want to avoid the tourist hordes that decend on new york all year round.while not near a subway station, the hotels a 5 minute walk to grand central and a further 5 minutes walk to times square. we had a corner room i.e 2 windows, overlooking the east river. so very happy with this.good maid service but like all hotels best to avoid mini bar / breakfast ,local shop 1.00 for coffee and classic usa diner on corner. overall very happy with hotel, only slightly more expensive than traditional tourist hotels but most importantly has a good pool

The hotel is is in a prime location but just far enough away from the hussle and bussle of the busy New York main streets. The foyer looks very unique with it's tinted glass and mirrors throughout. The rooms are good and clean and some are currently going through a refurbishment. The only downside is that a new tower is being built at the East side so there is building work ongoing during the day (stops at night), when finished will restrict views from some of the current rooms.

We had a comfortable and relaxing stay at the Milllenium Plaza. Weather glorious and the central location made seeing the sights easy. There were plenty of cheap delis within a few minutes walking distance and a pleasant courtyard garden opposite to use to take advantage of outside space for coffee, writing postcards etc. Staff helpful and all areas of hotel very clean. High security with guards and sniffer dogs on patrol outside hotel. Taxi rank outside very convenient. Small pool but not busy during our stay. We did not use the resturant as preferred to eat while we were out. Hotel used by cabin crew for Japanese airlines. I took this as a positive sign denoting quality and value for money. Only minor down sign noisy generator in service area adjoining our room but did not disturb sleep. Chambermaids happy to accomodate late rising. We would return again especially if we could get a similar discount deal.
