Could have been batter

When we first got to our room : 1. wall sconce was hanging off the wall. 2. No hand towels. 3. no light bulb in floor lamp. 4.Bathroom door casing had blood smeered on it. 5. Stovetop was in very poor condition & only 1 burner was functional. 6. Bath tub drain was cloged.

Great Location! Concrete Beds!

The location is at W73rd & Broadway with a subway stop at the corner and a nice large grocery store up on 74th. Just 2.5 blocks from centeral park put it in walking distance and the express 2/3 subway put you in times square in just one stop. So, Location was excellent. The hotel lobby was nice, the apartment was a small and very cramped 1 bedroom. The size didn't bother me. It was the large, unsightly water stain on the living room wall, the bathroom sink that didn't drain, the mold and mildew in the bathroom, the toilet that needed a jiggle of the lever after every flush, and the beds that felt like you were sleeping on a concret slab. both the bedroom and the pull out sofa beds were almost impossible to sleep on. It was almost like sleeping on the box spring without a matteress. The didn't provide trash bags. Luckily we were able to use the grocery bags and the refridgerator froze our drinks and water in a day and a half. Did I say the location was great? Wouldn't stay there again, would look for something in same area.

saved money

We were very pleased with this hotel. We saved $300.00 on this hotel from our previous trip. The front desk was very helpful with directions and the room was clean, no signs of bugs or rodents. I plan to stay here on my next trip.

Convenient place to stay on a budget.

Upon arrival, we were missing a set of towels. It took 3 requests in 2 days before were were finally able to get a partial set. One of the receptionists was excellent, but the others were lazy and didn't really seem to care about addressing our concerns. The sink in the room was leaky if the water was run for any period of time. The drainage in the shower was poor and this was never fixed. The air conditioner was extremely loud and the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. There were roaches in the room. even though we kept it extremely clean. The location of the hotel was excellent. it was a safe neighbourhood providing many amenities and provided quick access to all the districts of New York City via the subway. The front lobby area was very attractive. Overall, the hotel provided very good value for the money. The deficiencies noted above could likely be avoided by paying more for a better hotel. If it weren't for the roaches, I'd definitely consider this hotel next time I travel to New York City.

Best kept secret

This was our second visit. It fit us perfectly. An apartment two blocks from central park, the best grocery store in town and near the subway station. We loved the freedom to cook our own meals as a break from restaurant fare. This is a great money saver and keeps you healthier too. We will definitely be coming again. Our family of five was very comfortable in the large two bedroom apartment with a fully equiped kitchen (yes that means a dishwasher). There is no maid service which meant privacy for us. This is not a hotel with pampering service but gives a taste for life in New York. The desk people were always friendly and helpful.

Great NYC experience in the beautiful Upper West Side

Do local things when you stay at Woogo. Eat at the Gigi Cafe around the corner at 71st street...it is excellent for breakfast and lunch!

Hit or miss

Isabella's on Congress and 76th street is great for lunch with a family. The natural history museum is only a two blocks away.
