The hotel was all one would expect from a 4 star and the staff was very helpful and proficient in English. The hotel entrance is located in a walking mall converted from a historical street. While this is a very convenient location for shoppers, we arrived by car and were almost ticketed for following our GPS into a pedestrian-only area. The hotel needs better instructions for those arriving by car. (Parking is a public garage about 4 blocks away and forget about dropping your luggage before parking.)

Although not part of the hotel it is worth checking out the Terrace Bar on the 5th floor which has excellent views of the Cathedral and Castle at night.

Dump the hire car. Stay there at the end and get a taxi to the airport. It's only 15 euros and saves the stress.

The signage for the entrance to the hotel is not well marked by American standards but everyone on the street knows where it is.

It is a lovely, friendly hotel. The outstanding thing about it is its location; only a few hundred yards from the old town and cathedral and very close to lots of super restaurants and bars. Ideal for shopping too!
