"Gem outside the city"

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in our last night in Barcelona. We chose the hotel as it was close to the airport and we had a morning flight. The hotel itself was fabulous. We were disappointed that we arrived late in the evening as we would have enjoyed it more. Nice big rooms, showers, and we were upgraded for free to a king size bed. Nice restaurant, bar and outdoor patio. The pool spa area looked wonderful, but we got there too late and it was closed. The downside was that , unfortunately, we did not print out good directions to the hotel and it was quite a long journey as it is outside the city. The best directions, are from the main train station, you must take a train to the Para-lel stop and catch bus line L72, which will bring you to Sant Boi and the stop is Avenue Marina. This brings you to the back side of the hotel, which unfortunately gives you the wrong impression of the hotel. We took the metro to Sant Boi station and then had to catch 3 different buses to get to the hotel. I definitely do not recommend this route as it took nearly 2 hours. Luckily, they do provide free transportation to the airport in the morning, so it is perfect for catching a morning flight. Overall, I loved the hotel. I wish it was closer to the city as it would not be fun to take the bus into the city every day. However as a last night, it was great as we got a wonderful night sleep before our flight home and did not need to worry about getting to the airport.” 25/05/2009
