We stayed at the Hotel Subur because we wanted to visit Barcelona, but could not find a hotel in the city at short notice during half-term week in February. So we stayed in Sitges which is a 20-30 minute train ride from Barcelona. Sitges is a lovely small town, and we chose a seafront locaion, which was at most a 10-minute walk from the station. After walking around Barcelona all day, we were shattered, and the beds were definitely very welcome and allowed a good nights sleep. The bathroom facilities were minimal, but plenty of hot water in the shower. There is a large sports bar at the front of the hotel, which served breakfast - not the best, but enough get you going in the morning - and where you could get a drink while watching some football before finally retiring for the night. The hotel was ok. I wouldn't be worried about staying there again, but I think we could find better.

booked a room for one night (as the flight was delayed and the hotel we were in was fully booked, that hotel was the platjador, excellent.)the staff at the subur were dreadful, unhelpful, no smiles whatsoever, no please or thankyou. etc.....they put us in room 414. as soon as we opened the door the smell was very unpleasant, like wet rot, and by looking at the doors and walls i could see why! the "double" room was two single beds pushed together, the bedclothes were horrible. the whole room was like from a 70's slasher movie. the "view" from the tiny window was of air con units opposite (nearly toching distance) they were also very noisy day and night ! we went down to complain but the staff were not helpful, just basically shrugged their shoulders. we heard that the sea view rooms were ok, but there are only 9 or 10 of them. so if you book a room at the subur make sure it is a seaview room or just totally avoid at all costs. the hotel looks good from the outside to the lobby then it goes downhill. no pool either.
