Description

The Hotel Terramar is a modern hotel set amid 20,000 square metres of scenic gardens and situated on the sea front at Sitges, 36 kilometres from Barcelona. The hotel's 209 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in a modern style with cream-toned fabrics and leather armchairs. All extend to bright balconies with views and include satellite television, direct-dial phones, safes and minibars.
Guests can sunbathe beside the palm-shaded swimming pool and children can have fun in the playground and enjoy the large garden area. Tennis lovers will appreciate the two tennis courts. At the Yuca Restaurant guests can enjoy dishes from an international menu while admiring the ocean views. The Bacoa Snack Bar is set by the poolside and serves light meals, snacks and drinks. Guests can also relax with a drink in the bar, or take advantage of room service. Business guests can make use of conference facilities as well as high speed Internet, and secure parking is available for those arriving by car. A port and water sports can be found three kilometres away, and several museums, including the Maricel de Mar, the Cau Ferrat, and the Casco Viejo can be found within four kilometres. Barcelona Airport is approximately 35 kilometres and a 30-minute drive from the hotel.

Directions

The airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. Take a train to El Prat de Llobregat for connections to Sitges. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Alternatively, taxis are available in front of the airport terminals, or a transfer service can be arranged through the hotel.

Chef needs extra tuition in catering!!!

Maybe go bed and breakfast and walk into town for a meal. A lovely walk even though it is quite lengthy.

Could do better

Long walk into Sitges from hotel but local bus every half hour stops at hotel. Barcelona makes a good day trip in inclement weather.Shops in Sitges very expensive for clothes but bars and cafes all fun and reasonable.

A great hotel

It is quite a walk from any shops or restaurants, but you don't really need anything else. Also the half-hour walk along the promenade to the town centre is worthwhile

great hotel, beautiful view, good value, though not too modern

if driving, GPS is nice. good location for daytrips Barcelona (train) Tarragona (train or car) montserrat mountain (car or train from barcelona) beautiful drives (C-31 from the airport was cool) and wonderful contryside. or stay in Sitges, enjoy the beaches. All beaches were topless, if you walk past the hills south of town there are some nude beaches (mostly gay).
