The hotel has a unique location - we had a great view with the wall of the old town from one window and the valley around Toledo from another. All the things Toledo has to offer were right around the corner. The room was nice, clean and comfortable.

It was a very nice hotel but the location was far from the main sights and halfway down the hill from the old town sights. Therefore, when we left in the morning we did not return until evening because of the inconvenience of the location.

The Mesquita del Cristo de la Luz just above the hotel is undergoing extensive renovation and is not worth the price of entry. The El Greco museum is closed, but the Museo Victorio Macho houses works by El Greco and is worth the visit for the view alone. The Abad staff recommended the resaurant 24 Alfileritos, which was awesome! Open, modern, multilevel resaurant with good food and live jazz.

The hotel information would lead one to believe it is within the fortified walls of the city which is not the case. You have to walk a steep half kilometers to get to the Alcazar or the cathedral
