For lunch one day I recomend to go to one of the small markets that are near the entrance of the city gates. You can get a paneton (looks like a french baquette), 100g of serrano ham, and 100g of machego cheese (the kind for sandwich) for around 3 Euros. Get a bottle of wine (prices range from .70 centimos to 9 Euros) and have a picnic by river.

We were on a tight timetable, but would have stayed longer if we could. The staff were very helpful. Our rooms were comfortable and modern. The hotel is in a quiet region on the edge of the old town, so you can walk to the sights - but remember Toledo is hilly! The location and the underground garage makes it ideal for arriving by car.
