I thought from the rating the Hotel would room would be confortable and facilities up to date. The Bed was extremley soft felt like the mattress was years old and the bathroom was old and dingy. Breakfast was a buffet style the food was OK but I had to ask 5 times for certain items to be replenished, staff just seem to ignore your request's. The hotel reception staff I did find helpful and polite.

Stayed here several times recently as my wife is having chemo @ Aberdeen Hospital and hotel rooms in Aberdeen are difficult to find. In May the jobsworth receptionist refused my gold Maestro card to guarantee meals charged to room saying this edict started Dec 2007 (although they accepted the same card late in April 2008). Followed farcical, embarrassing and humiliating nonsence with faulty restaurant card machines every meal time (or they're up to something else.) Don't aim to find out just what as I won't be going back.

Check out the Oldest Italian Restaurant,the Harbour as the boats come in at high tide and do investigate the beach and small cafes along the promenade for excelent value.

Very good value for money. Basic, but cheap, clean and quiet. Good for the airport and a 10 min bus ride/drive to the city centre.

Couple of nice pubs back towards the airport a few hundred yards, near the traffic circle, one on either side of the road.
