"Best value for money I have ever had from a hotel"

We were greeted with a smile as we walked into reception and the level of service we received throughout was excellent. The receptionist/barman, whose name escapes me, had lots of local knowledge and was a lovely guy to talk to. The bar is open for as long as you want it to be which was a bonus also! Our room was excellent and the flat screen TV was a pleasant surprise. A fan and extra pillows in the wardrobe were a nice touch. If you need an iron and board they are available at reception. The tea and coffee facilities were a welcome touch also. The bathroom had complimentary shampoo/conditioner, shower gel and soap and the towels were extra fluffy. No probs with hot water, shower had a decent spray on it. The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely nights sleep without hearing a peep from any of the other guests. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the lady serving toast etc was very pleasant indeed. We arrived on a Sunday night and there was lots of parking. The next day the car park was full but there was still some room to park on the side street. The next time I visit Blackpool I will definately return to this hotel. My other half and I could not fault our time spent at the Chequers Plaza and only wish we could have stayed longer!” 03/06/2009
