Very good couple of nights at Montague on the Gardens. I asked for a quiet room and that is what we got; overlooking the garden area. The staff were very attentive, polite and helpful. Good breakfast in a busy breakfast room. Will definitely be back and can recommend this hotel to other travellers.

The staff were lovely. The receptionist upgraded us to a Bloomsbury room, which was small (as most London hotel rooms seem to be) but beautifully decorated and furnished. It felt very luxurious because of the fabrics and design of decor. This was in the perfect location for us - partway between Euston Station & West End, so could walk everywhere (which beats tube or taxis in London!) Came back in the evening to find the turn-down service had been and also left a platter of fruit, box of fudge and slippers. A small niggle is that there is only one vegetarian main course on the 3 evening-meal menus they offered us. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there are so many great breakfast spots nearby. Wish we'd stayed longer, and we will go back.

Make sure your bank ATM card works in getting dollars to sterling. My card worked in Paris but for some strange reason not in England. It was quite a problem. I would check with your financial institution prior to travel.

Very convenient for the British Museum. We got our on-the-day tickets for the Terracota Warriors exhibition via the concierge, which saved us having to get up early and queue!

This is a first rate hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable, clean and very quiet, we had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent. I will be booking this hotel in the future.
