Make the most of it

Take your swimming costume and use the hotel facilities. Park out of town and get taxis or buses as even they are cheaper than any parking, including the hotel's own.

Miserable and overpriced

go to the Brighton Marina for a meal at the LLoyds bar - good food, good scenery, reasonably priced.

Good weekend break base

I booked 3 family rooms for a group of 9 females for a hen weekend (Fri - Sun). Each room should have had one double and one proper single bed to sleep 3 adults, however after checking in, we found 1 of the 3 room was much larger than the other two and had better facilities (I expect this was an upgraded room) however it only had one Super-king size bed in it. We notified the hotel but they didn't have another room available therefore we were provided with a camp bed, which was not ideal. Other than that the rooms were clean however perhaps in need of some re-decoration, particularly in the bathrooms. The shower in my room was no more than a dribble however the ladies in the other rooms informed me theirs were fine. The hotel is in a good location and has plenty of parking which was very convenient. We made full use of the leisure facilities which again were clean but in need of some decoration. Breakfast was not included within our rate therefore we did not use the restaurant at all. Overall, we enjoyed a pleasant stay, a good base in a good location. There are several other hotels close by which I would probably try next time to try somewhere different but there is no reason why I would not stay there again or recommend to friends.

Needs renovation

Good central location, but the hotel is it a poor state. its desperate for a renovation. Wallpaper hanging off, holes in the walls huge airvents, you can see right up into the ceiling which is a little scary. Dont drink in the hotel bar the prices are very expensive (a glass of wine £8!). Also we should have been able to check in at 3pm but the room wasn't ready till 6pm.

Not impressed

Room was poor quality in many ways. Express check-out is not really possible if you park in the car park, as you will have to pay 28 pound a day if you don't check out at reception!
