Family Comfort and style

A well-run, friendly and comfortable hotel, with a good restaurant and a lovely location. Within easy reach of Bristol City Centre - we will be going back again. Recommended.

Nice hotel

Stayed in this hotel for one night recently. Very comfortable, room was clean (although the teapot hadn't been changed from the last guest) and overall was very pleasant. Slight Fawlty Towers aura to the place, but in a nice way (without the mad owner)! The only downside was the creaky floors and the fact that the rooms had no soundproofing! But I would stay here again, especially as the price was quite reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.

What an original

Henbury Lodge Hotel reminded us of a French country hotel. It lacked all the grandiose trappings and synthetic hospitality of the corporate world. It is small enough to feel like a domestic environment, comfortable and unpretentiously appointed, but with all the usual necessities. It seemed like a one-off, in the care of someone who understands what they are doing.

A comfortable, relaxing place to stay

We enjoyed our short stay here. It was nice to be surrounded by trees and have the Blaise Castle parkland on our doorstep - and yet be only a twenty minute drive from Bristol town centre. The hotel's small restaurant also had a reasonable menu at reasonable prices; which was probably just as well as there seemed to be no decent alternatives close by.
