Description


The Aston Court Hotel Coventry is a modern property on the outskirts of the city; ten miles from the Birmingham NEC and 17 miles from Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford- upon-Avon. The hotel's 81 guestrooms feature modern interiors decorated with printed fabrics and light wood finishes. All include coffee/tea makers, direct-dial phones, dial-up Internet access and televisions.
The hotel's Renzi's Restaurant offers informal, modern European dining and caters for children and vegetarians. Guests can also unwind in the bar, enjoy a game of pool, and order a snack from room service which is available 24 hours. Business travellers can benefit from nine well- equipped meeting rooms and weddings are catered for. Secure parking is available on site for those with cars. Travellers can visit Coventry city centre, just one mile away. While further afield Kenilworth Castle and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon are both 17 miles from the hotel. Directions

Taxis are available from outside the airport; a trip to the hotel costs in the region of 15 GBP. Getting around Coventry is easy by bus or taxi.
Driving directions: From the airport leave the M42 at Junction Six and head onto the A45 to Coventry. Take the slip road signposted A4114 Brownshill Green/City Centre and follow the signs to the City Centre. Continue for approximately one mile, passing Morrison's supermarket and a retail park on your right. Continue past the BMW car dealership and go straight across at the mini roundabout. Continue until the pelican crossing, take a sharp left up the one-way street and the hotel is the first right on Meriden Street.

It's Fine for the Cost

The room was clean and the staff were efficient and helpful. Beds were slightly uncomfortable (I'm more of a pillow-top person and these beds were very firm) but were fine for only a 2 night stay. It wasn't my first choice yet it was available at the time my first choice wasn't. I would, however, return in the future if I needed accommodations in Coventry for a short stay.
