Room's alright but the administration could very much improve. Wasn't informed how to find the office to get the keys, phoning for instructions didn't help. Wasted a lot of unnecessary time and energy moving from the apartment on the hill of the old town and all the way down to their the office in the new town only to find out we couldn't collect the keys yet until 4pm (couldn't they just tell us that on the phone and save me and my wife the hassle and time??) but we can fill out some forms first and come back later AGAIN to collect the keys!

Take the City of the Dead tour after dark. Good fun and quite informative about the city's history

nice apartments, in a beatiful enviroment. Its a pity that keys have to be collected in a different place, thats not very pleasant.

Scottish Apartments, who manage Castle Apts placed us in their Borthwick's Close apt. rather than Castle Apts, and we can't thank them enough!! Borthwick's Close is an amazing, beautiful apt! Great location (feet from St. Giles & Mercat Cross) and wonderful views (Arthurs Seat and the Crags) from both the living room and bedroom! Would gladly stay there again!!!

Great location. Not a great place to have to get the keys. Also, shower not working and heater in hallway not working. Otherwise great place. Had stag party above us and a bit noisy at closing time.

The Grassmarket area is excellent apart from Espionage nightclub which we found very difficult to get in.

The apartment we stayed in was in the middle of everything, we were walking distance from all local attractions. I would definitely take advantage of how close you are to everything.

I would recommend these apartments as the one we received was very spacious, comfortable, clean and in a good location. Do heed the advice given in one of the previous comments which suggested that you find out where the check in is first. The map which is on hotels.com is where you stay NOT where you recieve the keys & check in. This was the only downside to a great stay in Edinburgh.

Very friendly staff and great location. Lots of stairs though... Be aware that check-in is not on the address sent to you by Expedia!!!
