The modern Holyrood Festival Studio Apartments occupy a four-storey property serviced by elevators, and is set in the city centre. The complex offers a concierge desk on hand to provide tourist tips, and can arrange for transfers from the airport (surcharge). Guests can enjoy use of the Next Generation Health Gym and Spa by arrangement with the apartments. The check-in desk is at 6 Queens Street.
Guestrooms. The 20 guestrooms are finished with wood flooring and sleek, wood furnishing, and are decorated in a bright, contemporary style. Directions
From Edinburgh Airport (EDI): Distance to the Holyrood Festival Studio Apartments is 8 miles, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Transfers from the airport can by organised by the complex for a surcharge. Airlink 100 operates express bus services to the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes and depart from the bus station next to the terminal. An open-return pass costs 5 GBP. The N22 night bus runs between midnight and 4 a.m. Taxis wait at a rank next to the terminal, and cost approximately 20 GBP to the complex, depending on traffic and time of day. Waverley, Edinburgh's main railway station, is situated half a mile from the complex and can be reached by bus or taxi. Regular trains leave Waverley for Glasgow and most major destinations throughout Scotland and England. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Edinburgh city and the Lothian region are served by a good bus network. There are hop-on, hop-off stops for city bus tours throughout central Edinburgh. Black cabs are available from the streets. The historic centre's cobbled streets are best explored by foot. Driving is not recommended for visitors, due to the complicated one-way systems.
