I stayed at the Mount Royal Hotel for a couple of days visiting a friend in Edinburgh. The location is truly excellent, just a couple of minutes walk away from Waverly station on Princes Street. The staff were warm and friendly. The room itself was fairly standard; maybe you'd expect a little more for the price but it was clean and functional. Breakfast was again, a little expensive if you don't book it in advance, but the views from the restaurant/bar are fabulous. Overall, a satisfying experience.” 28/06/2009
