If going to the tattoo be aware that you have to be able bodied as it is a long walk up the hill and getting into the seats is not easy.

-local atractios- of course the castle- nice shopping on royal mile and vicinity. the food excellent in all the restaurants and pubs. the whisky eperience is very nice, the mary king's close is very nice- also the night tours -with gosts story.

You may have to book it months in advance but do try to dine at the Witchery. Expensive but fantastic, small and very romantic.

We found the hotel to be wonderful. Staff met us curbside, offered to park car, carried bags to room, and were extremely fast for the registration process. Food in restaurant was excellent.

The hotel room was small but was upgraded and clean. Quiet. Close to airport. No charge for parking. Great breakfast included in room price - lots of selection and fresh fruit. One big downside was there is no place to eat other than the hotel restaurant or lounge. Very expensive.

Close to the airport and the city centre. On main bus routes and travel is cheap. Excellent for a short and long stay. Food very good but a little expensive.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. My only complaint would be that the drinks were very expensive. The hotel is a bit out of the way of the city but there is a very regular bus service which is situated adjacent to the hotel. Would consider again if looking for a relaxing short break.
