Description


Location. The Radisson SAS Hotel is a classic Old Town building located on the Royal Mile, the oldest street in Edinburgh, Scotland. It lies between Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace at the bottom. The Museum of Scotland and the famous shops of Princes Street are two blocks away. Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is seven-and-a-half miles from the hotel, while Edinburgh Waverley train station is two blocks away.
Hotel Features. The turrets of the 16th- century building housing the Radisson SAS Hotel conceal a modern hotel. The lobby features pillars, leather chairs and soft lighting. The concierge desk can provide insider tips on the local area.

The salmon pink Carruber's Restaurant offers bistro-style dining. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has both a la carte and table d'hote menus. Itchycoo Bar and Kitchen is an intimate venue for light meals and afternoon tea beneath low ceilings. Cocktails, speciality coffees, and Scottish malt whiskies are available at the oak-panelled bar.

The hotel has 12 conference and banqueting rooms for up to 200 people with secretarial services. There is also a business centre offering complimentary high-speed Internet access.

The Evolve Health and Leisure Club has a 10-metre indoor pool with a jet stream and a gym with a weights room, saunas and solarium. Two beauty treatment rooms offer reflexology, facials and Swedish massages.

Guestrooms. The Radisson SAS Hotel's 238 air-conditioned guestrooms have complimentary wireless Internet access, satellite television, pay-per-view movies, minibars, large safes, premium bedding and tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms are decorated in a modern style, with dark wood furniture. Bathrooms feature telephones and complimentary toiletries.

A good night in Edinburgh

The Hotel is well presented and the staff are very helpful, They arranged last minute late night transport from the airport for us when our car hire company messed up and did not have a car for us. Everything ran smoothly and the experience was very enjoyable.

Great Location for central Edinburgh

Hotel is very nice, room seems to have been recently redone (bathroom was excellent) - a couple of items weren't working - one lightbulb was burnt out & TV remote wasn't working (batteries?). But the room was very nice, nothing special but spacious & clean, modern decor. Lobby is very modern, check-in individual desks were manned by very professional staff.

the hotel receptions is very friendly and helpful, the room is very comfortable and clean; besides the hotel location is central and easy to get taxi from the hotel.

Not impressed

The toilet was leaking and noisy - never got the newspaper we asked for - stuck in the lift - not a 4* service but a very good location.

SAS Radisson Edinburgh Royal Mile

Great hotel - nice, spacious room with comfortable furnishings. Service was a bit haphazard. Dial 1 and they take ages to pick up, they weren't familiar with some of the offerings in the hotel 'manual' in your room so ordering food was tough. Otherwise tho, absolutely great hotel for location and accomodation - very comfortable

Fab Location

Great stay in Edinburgh - the city is buzzing with the festival - and yet inside your room was silent due to the tripple glazing - would stay again - ace location with ample parking
