We went on the Lochness and highlander tour operated by the Timberbush tour company, it is the best tour I have been on, the tour guide explained everything throughoutly, give you a good history lession and overview of scottland. Although I have to say it is a 11 hour coach tour. so, give your legs a good stretch when you can.

This hotel has suite size rooms which are a great deal for your $$$, well appointed and tasteful suites have a full kitchen and living room area, this was a lot of space, specially for the UK, where economy hotel rooms tend to be super small. Centrally located to everything, would recommend it to anyone.

Skip the 6 pound per person breakfast and buy food at one of the nearby stores instead. Take the kids for a ride on the "Clockwork Orange" underground tube. The Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Stadium was supurb. The Kelvingrove Museum, the Museum of Transport and the Burrell Collection also got rave reviews. Finding the Burrell Collection however was a challenge.

Check out the 13th note bar (with good veggie food) and music venue nearby on King Street.

Its worth trying some of the many bars and restaurants close to the apartments - also close by at the Italian centre, there are great places to eat. M&S is just round the corner so you can stock up on goodies for breakfast and snacks!

I was very pleased with my stay, for the price of a hotel rooom the extra space and convenience was much appreciated. Personally I never found the outside noise too intrusive, though the area outside is quite lively with a number of bars.

If you are staying here and like Indian food try the Indiana Cafe next door or if you just want to stay in, grab a chicken Tikka Kebab from across the street at Merchant Express.
