Only stay here if there are no other hotels within a 30 mile radius

This is way past its sell by date. Internet advertised only works in certain rooms and only for times dictated by the hotel. You may get a room opposite the local building site and get to hear the workers start at 7. Avoid unless absolutely necessary

Budget price, but still not good value for money!

Great for backpackers, but it should be considered by anyone else - especially not anyone hoping to enjoy their time in Glasgow!

Has Character

Ideally located, train station right outside of door, shopping, easy for our car hire people to pick us up. Cafe's for breakfast and resturants near by. Shuttle bus from Airport drops you off within a short walking distance from hotel.

A Pit.

It was hot when we arrived in Glasgow. Our room window would not open. I requested another room or a fan. When we returned to the room, there was a fan...in a box...unassembled. The room was not very clean. But that didn't matter as the hot water didn't work, so we didn't shower. This hotel alleges to be in the Quality chain. Both should be ashamed.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

If you are thinking of staying here, don't. If you have already booked here, pay a bit extra to change. And if this place has the last hotel bed left in Glasgow, stay in Edinburgh.

Overall ok, but a few bits to improve on.......

I know this sounds very negative, but i just want to explain fully what my visit was like at the Quality Hotel at Central Station, Glasgow. Nice hotel generally. Very central in the city, just off Buchannan Street, the main shopping street in Glasgow. Staff were friendly and being able to store luggage before the room was ready was very handy. Breakfast was rather expensive for what we got. The room was quite hot, maybe because of being on the 4th floor, and the A.C didn't work. Also, the shower head was being held together with silver duck tape - something builders use! However the shower worked okay. No lock on bathroom door, fortunately I knew my companion very well and the lock was not essential for us. There was also only 1 lift working which meant you had a long wait at busy times. No opening times available for the hair and beauty salon. None of the above would stop me from booking and staying again at the hotel as it is just perfect for eityher a shopping trip of going to a concert at the SECC.

Unimpressed

The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location. Unless you are getting a discounted rate I wouldn't waste money on the rack rate.
