Great location in the city centre by the shops and near to the bus, train and subway stations. The hotel was very clean but could have done with some refurbishment as some of the wallpaper was peeling off and the carpets were quite worn. The hotel has a coffee shop which is great for a light brunch rather than paying quite a high price for the breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We got a bus from the airport to Buchanan Street Bus Station which was a five minute walk to the hotel. We enjoyed using the sauna and swimming pool which was at no extra cost. I enjoyed a facial at the hotel spa and would highly recommend this service.

This is a great place to stay - we stayed there during our shopping trip to Glasgow. The hotel is well situated, close to the main shopping areas. The room was of a very high standard and great value for money.

I would not recommend the non-refurbished rooms although they were pretty decent they were quite outdated. However, the newly refurbished rooms were very nice, modern, comfortable and the big flat screen TV was a bonus - although it had only 5 channels. The staff were very nice and friendly and were always smiling and helpful. The location of the hotel was also great - just a few steps to one of the main shopping streets. If a go back to Glasgow I would definitely consider staying at the Thistle Hotel!

Hotel generally met my expectations. Room was spacious and clean although I had to ask for the shower curtain to be changed. Why don't hotel cleaners notice that shower curtains get wet and smelly? Staff very pleasant. Only meals I had were breakfast which was good with plenty of choice. There is a bit of nonsense with vouchers issued to get a discount on breakfast if you are a resident, which is pointless - they know you are a resident so can just deduct it from your bill! However I would stay there again.

Very friendly staff made the weekend an enjoyable experience. Hotel very clean and comfortable. Excellent assortment of food for breakfast. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the theatre, shopping , cinema areas and 15 minutes to the vibrant Merchants City

Very nice hotel, well situated, spacious and clean rooms. I was in a supreme, which I think was a 15GBP upgrade, but well worth it. I will definitely be booking in here again on my next trip to Glasgow.
