Good location, had me booked for a different day, hotels fault so were upgraded to a suite very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Only down side bar did not have much atmosphere.

The breakfast was a treat with a wide and varied selection of breads, cereals, fruit, cold meats and cooked breakfasts; everything you could want before a day's racing.

i have just stayed at the thistle liverpool for the third time but it was the first time since the VERY impressive make over of the rooms - i cannot say how impressed i was with the smart modern new look of the rooms - excellent value

Great location by the docks, near to Tate Liverpool and Albert Dock. Panoramic view from our bedroom of the Liver building and the Mersey.

The Thistle is within walking distance of the Maritime Museum and other attractions along the dock area. It is clean, comfortable, and functional. The rooms are modest in size. The breakfast buffett is good. WiFi access is available for about $20 per 24 hours.

We found Est Est Est on Albert Dock wonderful for a nice evening meal, good food and wonderful atmosphere, reasonably priced.

When we arrived at the Thistle, it turned out that the booking engine I had used had had some kind of glitch, so that our booking confirmation showed the date I had booked, whereas the hotel's system showed the following week. The staff made no fuss whatsoever, and spent a couple of minutes juggling things and we were sorted. They were so professional and helpful about. The hotel itself is ideally located 2 minutes walk from the docklands area which is great. There are lovely restaurants and bars here as well as museums and the Tate so there's plenty to do. It is also just a few minutes walk away from the centre of the city too.
