see all hotels in Bloomsbury - Soho"This was the smallest Executive Room I ever had!"by A from Ireland
... barely larger than the bed, so that you have to sit on the bed to work on the desk - which btw. is cluttered with coffee making utensils so that you have no space for your notebook - as there is not enough space at all for a chair. the advertised free internet-connection was dying all the time, so that I could not check my mails (apart from using the BlackBerry) - so that was not much of use! finally they put me in a room on the fifth floor and when they gave me the key they mentioned that the elevator is not working - great! great location, but clearly not to be recommended!
"Would use again"by F from Ireland
Had checked out this hotel and were aware of some of the problems before booking. The single lift was not a major issue for us. The location was perfect for our needs(very short walk to tube station and lots of places to eat) "Chinatown" is only yards away. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel breakfast is not good value. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again.
"Great location in Piccadilly"by R from California USA
The Best Western Premier Shaftesbury Piccadilly has one of the best locations in the West Side; close to theaters and great bistros in the Soho area. The rooms are very small, but that is more than compensated by the excellent staff and service. The breakfast is excellent. We have stayed there 4-5 times and would go back again!
"Clean and well kept but noisy!"by D from Fareham
Hotel is really well kept and room was spacious, clean and tidy. All the things you need for business stay such as decent bathroom, desk etc. Condition of everything was good. However, the hotel was very noisy. I don't just mean this in terms of its location on Shaftsbury avenue and the unfortunate timing of staying on November 5th (there was a fireworks display at midnight in central London). My room backed on to a clock tower that went off every hour, and it was noisy when people in surrounding rooms used water for showers etc. It seemed to hiss through the room. All in all it was a clean and comfortable room but be careful if you need a good sleep!
"Flowers and fruit make customers happy"by E from Munich
I have rarely seen a room so economically designed. It was tiny, but had everything needed and more. I loved the view a tree and sound of the church bell, only topped y the arrival of a fruit bowl and a buch of eautiful carnations. An unexpected, little gesture everyday will certainly make me come back in the near future
"Single Room = Very Tiny Room"by B from Budapest, Hungary
I had a single room during my stay, which is so tiny, that I had to close my carry-on (!) size luggage if I wanted to open the door of the room to go outside... There is no wi-fi, but high speed wired internet, which works fine, but ties you to the writing desk, which is so small and full of the coffee preparation kit, that you can barely put your laptop on the table - forget about a mouse!
