Great Location

Great Location for all the main attractions in London. Rooms fairly small but perfectly adequate.

Great Location, Nice Hotel

#23 bus stops in front of the hotel about every 10 minutes and will take you down Oxford Street and Notting Hill/ Portobello Road Market. Both excellent places to shop and see sites! Inexpensive (3.50lb for an all day ride pass) and an easy trip. If you've never been to London, take the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tours. They're long, but you see everything. The Original Bus Tour includes a complimentary cruise on the Thames.

Charing Cross the ideal place to stay

My wife and I really enjoy staying at this hotel. It is so conviently located and the hotel staff is really good. London is expensive, so relatively speaking this hotel is a good "value". The breakfast that we had there was quite good as well.

Our new home in London

Living in Suffolk, my husband and I have many occasions to stay in London, for both business and pleasure. Each time we visit we book a different hotel, as so far we haven't been drawn back to one we've stayed in. We booked the Charing Cross on this occasion for convenience, as we had a dinner event to attend at the RSA. Upon arrival, we upgraded to a junior suite. Next time we are in London, we will book Charing Cross Hotel again, as we consider it excellent value for money,.

Not a 4 star hotel - unimpressed

I really hoped that this would be a good 4 star hotel in a great central area of London. The Lobby and Restaurant/Bar were not that bad...but the room was very old and didn't feel clean. I would say this is a 2 to 2.5 star hotel. Sorry.

Disappointed

The hotel just changed ownership. The night staff was unhelpful and inept. The location is great.

Great central London hotel

I was allowed to check into the hotel early and the check in was fast, effective and pleasant. The room was compact, but was clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is excellent for Covent Garden, Regent Street and Bond Street shopping. I would definitely return to this hotel as my first choice when revisiting London.

We had a great time- hotel was clean, stylish, food excellent, really classy without being stuffy, and centrally placed for all main tourist sites. Couldn't fault it at all
