In short we had a most enjoyable stay. The hotel was excellent and the location was ideal with easy access to the underground and buses. I am sure we will stay there again.
"Back to the 70s"by r from Wales
If you are into the latest retro scene. this is the hotel for you. Furniture that is well past its use by date, with an interesting collection of carpet stains. Try to avoid rooms facing the Tube line unless you are a train spotter who gets up with the dawn chorus. The quality of the breakfast food certainly did not match the premium pricing for this food delight.
"Not impressed"by M from sHEFFIELD
Service on reception had long waits to both check in and out. The room we stayed in very basic and in general need of redecoration. Poor quality furniture with old bathroom facilities. Excellent foyer and good location near tube. Very overpriced for what you get
"Not terribly impressed"by A from Belfast, NI
Looked like something you might expect to find ageing badly in the middle of a desert. Poor quality and no free internet access in the room despite claiming so on the listing. Will not be rushing back.
"I will be back there again next month"by E from Ireland
I cant understant how I never came across this Copthorne Hotel before. What made it for me was the quality of the service and the friendly, efficient and relaxed attitude of all the staff.
"the hotel was just about ok"by S from dublin
the staff were excellent and the bar area was nice but the room was very dated and required repainting. the big problem for me was that I could not open any windows and the room was very stuffy and hot even with the a/c turned fully down.the hotel was nice but the room was a letdown
"A good place to base yourself"by R from Somerset
A good and well priced hotel with very clean rooms. The room was very close to the tube and some good places to eat in Kensignton. Also a good place to get pretty much anywhere in London without too much hassle. Plus handy for Paddington station.
"Well connected"by M from Carrickmacross, Ireland
This hotel is literally minutes walk from High Street Kensington underground station which gives easy access to all of London and in particular the West End. This coupled with the very competitive rates makes it all the more attractive to the cost-conscious traveller.
"Would stay again"by E from Ireland
Very central, nice area. Lovely resturants
"Wonderful comfortable high quality stay"by T from Belfast
Hotel was fantastic - welcoming service and received a room upgrade (without even requesting) as they weren't too busy that night. Comfortable good-sized room, hot shower, was in the back corner of the hotel on 11th floor so virtually no noise at all and a great view of Earl's Ct direction. Great location handing to tube (3 min walk) and High St Kensington shops and restaurants. Room service was delicious and on time. A reliably 4-star hotel - very rare in London in this day and age!
