First rate in every way. Staff very helpful. Be careful though about the cost of breakfast if not included in your room rate! Over £17! Can you really eat that much??
"dont go to the bar!"by S from Dublin
the hotel is beautiful, our room was lovely. very comfortable beds. we were going to the 02 but it turned out not to be as convenient as we had hoped as it is across the water from the 02. we had to take a taxi ride that cost £18 as the tube wasnt running due to engineering work. an extremely helpful and friendly gentleman checked us in at the desk but were we in for a surprise at the bar! the bar service was unbelievably slow, despite there being 3 bar staff and around 10 patrons in the place. our dinner bill was wrong, they had added on drinks that we had paid for, we explained this and it was grudgingly rectified. I always like to tip, but as the service was so slow and there was already a service charge, we only left a few pounds (on a £25 bill) which i still felt was generous enough. one of the barmaids then turned to the other and mouthed WOW sarcastically. i couldnt believe it!! on a positive note, the food was amazingly good, best meal ive had in ages!
"The only hotel we'll ever use when going to London from now on"by C from Sunderland, UK
We stayed at the Crowe Plaza for Valentine's day. We were made to feel important from the moment we walked through the doors and were even given the wonderful surprise of a free upgrade to a suite. The room was an absolute delight, with stunning views across Royal Victoria Dock to The Dome and Canary Wharf. Central London was easy to access as the DLR station is literally a three minute walk! Perfect! Only a couple of niggles; we stayed for two nights but were only given filter papers for the coffee filter for one night! (Small but annoying) And the car park became ridicuously busy and certainly doesn't have near enough spaces for the hotel. However, you can park in the Excel car park behind it but it costs the Earth! However, we will certainly return to this hotel and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in London.
"Will return"by E from Kildare
My husband and I stayed there when we visited the London Boat Show. The hotel is 2 min walk from Excel. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast buffet had a great selection. We would definitly stay there again.

"Not Impressed"by A from Aylesbury
I was staying at the hotel with my girlfriend. We checked in easily but when entered the room discovered it was a twin room and I had booked a double. When I went to reception to ask for the room I had booked I was told they had no double rooms free. I asked to see the Manager whose I found extremely unhelpful and arrogant. His attitude was if you have a problem you can sort it out after your stay. I told him if he couldn't provide me the double room I'd booked then I would go to another hotel and wanted a refund but he refused to give me my money back. I went up to the room to print my emailed confirmation off but the keyboard in the room didn't work, and when I went to make a cup of tea to calm down there was no milk. Only one of the sockets worked in front of the mirror which meant my girlfriend had to rotate the use of her hairdryer and the light to get ready (dry for a bit, unplug the hairdryer, plug the lamp in to check her hair, unplug it, plug the dryer back in etc). We had a dinner reservation which we were almost late for. I had to persist in calling down to reception to get a new keyboard and milk sent up, and in the end had to walk down there myself. When I complained about the socket I was told there was nothing they could do. All in all, a terrible stay at the hotel, where the arrogance of the manager and staff left you feeling like they really didn't care about your experience. I will not be going back!
