Hotel ok, rooms very small but clean. Bathroom one of the washpods where you can shower whilst sitting on the loo and using the basin. Main reason for stay was proximity to City Airport and that was very good indeed - less than 5 mins.

The hotel has lots of food facilities, it is clean. Everyday I stayed, my room was cleaned, fresh towels and complimentary biscuits were provided. The extractor in the bathroom is linked to all the other rooms so there was a slight smell, it was also fairly noisy. The room keys are those plastic cards which is nice and easy to use. The safe in the room costs £2 a day if you use it. Two room keys were provided, one was needed for the rooms electric which was a nice energy saving feature.

The Customer House hotel is very conveniently located for London's Excel complex, and great for the weary exhibitor to stagger back at the end of a long day. The rooms are simple, but clean and we found that our location on the fifth floor was very quiet. On the down side, the bathrooms are very small, as was the rather novel showercubicle, which is not for the claustrophobic! The room aircon system was very gentle, and may be all you need in the colder months, but during our vist the outside temperature reached a stifling 31 degrees, and the system strugled to cool the room at all. Catering at the hotel was very acceptable, with the bar offering a reasonable range of choices on the menu. The quality of the food was more than acceptable, and very promptly served. For the most part the staff were competant, willing and polite. For the cost of our stay, all things considered, really quite acceptable.

If you are looking for a hotel near to O2 Arena and Excel you should try here first. DLR(Docklands Light Railway) is opposite.

The hotel is just across the road to the DLR then one change and you are at the Dome. The hotel has good soundproofing - we were surprised once outside just how low the airplanes were for the airport - but we never heard one! The hotel is undergoing extensive building work but that didn't cause us any problems, and Yes - the room was a little dated but the price we paid we feel it offers excellent value and would stay again. Once the building work is completed it will be a really great hotel for the Excel/O2/Olympics

I needed a hotel last minute and cheap.. I got what I paid for.. And I wouldn't return any time soon. I thought I would be staying at a clean, modern hotel.. It was not up to scratch. Bathrooms weren't very clean.. the blinds didn't shut properly and their was a school group staying on my floor that were running up and down the corridors when I was trying to get to sleep. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. O2 is a lightrail or two away, but when you're tired you are limited to the hotels three restaurants. I was starving and I barely touched the food I ordered. I won't be returning here anytime soon.

Hotel clearly gets its rating from the facilties it offers - chinese restaurant, pub, etc. The rooms are of the "prefabricated" type with a moulded bathroom as an integral part of the room and aliitle porthole type window. That said, the bed was comfortable and i slept ok.
