Hotel was adequate. room clean and simple. use hotel for sleeping only. places to ear and food poor. bar service very poor. bar staff seemed to want to get rid of you. if railway closed its very inconvenient place to be. check

The doubleroom was clean, tidy and well-equipped. The room included a TV (which we barely used), coffee/tea-making facilities and a hair-dryer. I was told that the air-conditioning had not been turned on for any of the rooms on account of it still being relatively cold outside - In fact, we were quite warm in our rooms so we would have appreciated the air-con, were it available. Aside from the air-con, everything else was spot-on!! The ensuite-toilets were clean with plenty of towels and the shower pumped out lots of warm water. Internet was available in the lobby but it was £3 for 15 mins which is a rip-off. I'm glad we only needed it once during our stay. Breakfast was the usual Continental or Fry-up. The Continental included fruit, cereal and/or cold meats and it cost £5.95. The Fry-up included the continental menu and cost £9.95. The breakfast room was tidy and the service was good so no complaints there either. Overall, I'd gladly recommend Custom House Hotel.

First and foremost my wife and I and our friends were very pleased with the location of the Custom House Hotel and its proximity to the nearest underground (DLR). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and functional. Our only concern was the continual noise from the running bathroom extractor fan. We would urge that a switch be introduced into the system to allow it to be switched on and off as appropriate.

Well when we first arrived we were met by two great people behind reception who made us feel very welcome and explained what the hotel had to offer(Cafe, Pub and restaurant and lots more!) The rooms were fantastic, very clean with your own flat screen tv and tea making facilities. All we needed was an extra pillow, which we soon got by asking the staff. 5*, easy access to London city centre with the Dock lands railways less then 100 meters away.

I stayed here with some friends after a concert at the O2. Everyone mentioned how clean and well maintained the place was. The staff was friendly and it was all for a great price! Thanks a lot, 5*!

This hotel does have a great location if you are visiting excel. However the room I had was pretty rough, you get one towel per guest, which are of course tiny and I had a weird open fronted shelving unit with 5 coat hangers but which also had a bed pushed against it which meant I had to climb over the bed to hang anything up. The reception staff were intimidating rather than welcoming and I felt like I was inconveniancing them by checking in. If I was visiting excel again I would pay more for a better hotel.

From start to finish our stay was extremely pleasant. The staff were friendly and efficient and went out of their way to be helpful. Our only criticism is that the room was rather small and cramped but otherwise we had no complaints whatsoever and would definitely use this hotel again.
