Get the London Pass. It includes trasportaion around London on the buses, underground, and trains. It also includes admission into several quality attractions. We saved a lot of money over cost of at the gate admissions and daily transportation. Very convenient to not have to wait in lines, too.

Needed value room near Victoria station for one night and Days Inn was ideal for that purpose; fairly small but very clean and recently refurbished room/en-suite just over 10 mins walk from Victoria. Would stay again for a cheap room in that location. Didn't have dinner or breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on the food.

Staff was a little unfriendly when registering. Room was very very small like a box. Very clean and new. I would request to see the room before checking in.

It's called Days Inn because the longest you can stay without feeling cramped and sticky is a day. Sure it's walking distance from a bunch of stuff, but so are a lot of other hotels on the street. The dollar is weak compared to the pound, so if this is all you can afford, you'll survive, and maybe even enjoy your view of a neighboring brick wall and the mildewy smell of your bathroom.

Went to see a musical in Soho and had a blast, From this hotel it cost about 14.00 pounds for a taxi, you can just flag them down anywhere. Underground cost 4 pounds per person so for 3 taxi is the way to go. Also sightseeing tour was great, about 2 1/2 hours total time and crosses the Thames about 5 times...you see 'everything'.

I stayed for 2 nights about 2 weeks ago in a single room. Room was very small but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern the room was. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on this. Corridors are small but there was a lift, so no complaints. Reception staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel. 5 mins walk from the tube station.
