Not overly impressed

The rooms are very small and wardrobe space is limited, albeit the room was clean and well laid out. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the weekend was a nightmare because we had to eat in 1st floor buffet where it was a cattle-market. Far too busy and space too limited. Not pleasant at all. Car parking at £54 for 2 nights was also a bit steep.

needs a good face lift!

it is not like the usual Holiday Inn standard. The bathroom sliding door was not closing properly. One of the nights the maids did not bother to do our room! And so it remained!!!

London's best kept secret

My husband and I were impressed by the hotel and the entrance. All staff from, luggage porter, concierge, restaurant, desk and bedroom were cordial and helpful. The signing in clerks englissh was poor and we could not understand what she said about the breakfast vouchers with the result that we arrived at breakfast without them and had to go downstairs to buy them. Why you cannot book it on the web beats me. The charge of sixteen pounds ninety five pence for a breakfast that costs eleven pounds seventy five if yopu buy a voucher is incredible. The weather was freezing and so was the room on the third floor when we arrived and we had to sit in our overcoats until the heating system became effective. The two blankets requested for the bed covering arrived with alacrity and both were used. The bar is too noisy and packed for older guests who wishing to watch match of the day with pint in hand have nowhere to go except to the reception erea where there is no tv.The annex to the pub could be used for this purpose.Overall we loved the food, the chefs sauces, the cental location and the staff. There is no charge for this marketing advice.

One of the better ones!

Check in time was given as 2pm. Due to full occupancy the night before there was a one and a half hour wait for our room to be ready. Once we got our keys we were pleased to be given a non-smoking room. It seems totally archaic that hotels still offer smoking rooms! Room was clean and had tea/coffee making facilities and some free toiletries. We were on the 19th floor and it was quiet aside from traffic/train noises. As it was winter we were not so bothered about not being able to open the windows for air. This may have been an issue in summer. This hotel is one that I would chose to stay at again. It's location is ideal for trips into the West End (just 5 tube stops away) and it is within walking distance of the Natural History Museum, the V&A, Science Museum, etc. There were many foreign tourists at the hotel as well as cabin crew in overnights. Customer service at the hotel was as expected in London - ie. nothing special! The one TERRIBLE aspect about this hotel is the attached restaurant. The service was slow, the meals were below average and it was over-priced. There are many restaurants and cafes just two minutes walk from the hotel so use those instead!

Good location

Good location for touring London. Second time staying in this hotel. Poor service from the Hotel's reception staff. Not very friendly and made a mistake with my booking.

Convenient location

Comfortable stay, excellent buffet breakfast and good late night bar open only to residents after 11pm (drinks rather expensive though!). Convenient for Albert Hall, Kensington High Street and buses further afield.

I'd recomend to others

Hotel was very nice, service was good and the staff pleasant. They went out of their way to give us the bed we wanted & a great view of the city. Great location. Tube was a 2 minute walk. Really good way to get around the city. Plenty of stores & pubs around & a mall or two close by. I'd stay again. Only complaint: They charge you for an ice bucket. ???
