Good location, good value, helpful staff - no problems, but bar prices a little high. Overall good.
"Overall a good hotel in a great location with stunning views"by S from Suffolk
Booked a double room, but rooms are allocated on arrival and we were offered a twin on 3rd floor or a double on 9th floor which was right at the back of the hotel with no good views. Paid £45 to upgrade to executive double room on 6th Floor with view of Thames, Big Ben & London eye. Room was lovely, nice modern decor, very clean couldn't get enough of the view- stunning!- glad we upgraded. Air con didn't work though and window was locked. Called reception, they told us the system was on 'winter' mode so the air con couldn't be switched on, said they would send someone to open the window, an hour later no one had come had to call again, 15 minutes later finally someone came to open the window. Didn't speak to one English member of staff, most from Eastern Europe. Lady in the breakfast room, was very nice and helpful. Had to queue for breakfast (included in executive room upgrade) but it was very good and nice and hot. Room upgrades also include a later checkout of 1pm (subject to availability), complimentary drinks and snacks in the bar-between certain times (we missed this as had to go to a show), dressing gowns & slippers. Ice machine on every floor was handy. Great location 10-15 minutes walk to London Eye & Big Ben. Good overall with fab views ,would return.
"Incredible value for money"by T from Brighton
When you walk in you feel like you could be heading in to the St. Martins Lane hotel - a very luxurious feel and such incredible value for money for the location and rooms available. I'll certainly visit again.
"fantastic"by c from wellingborough

"Very impressed!"by M from Essex
We stayed for one night. I'd booked a double smoking room, but we were given a twin non-smoking . I phoned down to reception, and were immediately given a suite!! The rooms were very comfortable..the bathroom fantastic! I would definitely stay there again!! The hotel is very near to all the sights.
"Excellent"by C from Sheffield

"Excellent but a couple of watch outs"by J from Wiltshire
This is a great quality hotel in a good location and I'd recommend it, particularly as I got such a great deal through this site. Watch-outs are: - desk staff/concierge area staff vary in customer service - some are not particularly welcoming and you need to work to get them to respond pleasantly and helpfully - the tube is a brisk 8-10 minute walk away, great in summer but less than great during the colder and wet months
"Good hotel but suffers breakdown in hot water"by T from dublin
The hot water system failed in the morning and we had only a cold shower
"Great value for money!"by D from Melbourne
The staff and provide an exceptionaly friendly service and always willing to help! The hotel is amazing. All the 5 star commodoties you could ask for without the price tag! Will definately stay here again!
"Convenient and attractive pricing for a short break"by J from North Yorkshire
Stayed between Christmas & New Year, so the rate was very good avoiding the key night (Christmas Day/New Years Eve etc). The location was pretty reasonable in the re-developing Vauxhall area south of the river. Short walk (8-10 mins) to nearest underground (Vauxhall). Plaeseant walk toward West End/London Eye via the riverside path. Hotel bar area very good and relaxing, rooms well appointed and modern (pretty spacious too for London) - good amenities generally and we cannot fault staff attitude or attentiveness, though we didn't need to interact too much. Didn't have breakfast in hotel, went for cheaper option of local cafe and found one just behind Vauxhall station on Kennington Lane (called Kennington Lane Cafe) - nice food, great value, very clean and the owners particuarly pleasant - would recommend. All in all, don't be put off thinking this hotel is too far from the city centre/attractions - the quality and price is an easy compensate.
