bad was quite old/oveused, shower need some minor technical care, but in general - no major complains. Nice patio place to seat!
"OK for a couple of nights"by R from Sweden
STAY: 2 nights The staff was friendly and the hotel itself was in decent shape, when coming into the lobby. The room I had was a single with two twin/single beds. It was somewhat clean, but it looked like the carpet had never been vacuumed. The bathroom was a nice surprise - very clean and more upgraded than the actual room, so big plus there. But you know how you can get new towels if you put it on the floor and keep the ones you hang? Well, I put the handtowel on the floor the first morning because a spot smelled like someone's after shave. Lo and behold, when I came back in the evening, the same towel from the floor was back on the rack! Lazy cleaners or hotel policy? Either or, just make sure that the towel gets exchanged when dirty...
"Good place to rest your head"by J from Vancouver
While this hotel was definately not a five star it was clean and not a bad deal considering you had a continental breakfast included. I think the staff could have an update in public relations as they weren't a very happy group. The elevator was a bit scary as well because when you stepped into it it dropped suddenly about six inches and the only stairs we could find went to the second floor and we were on the fourth. I'm sure there were more but we didn't find them. For a one night stay it was good value and very close to pubs and public transport. I would recommend this hotel.
"Not even slightly impressed"by D from Lancashire
This hotel is one of the worst I have stayed in. The good thing is that the evening staff were friendlier than the lady on during the day and it was near to the tube, oh and nothing leaked.
"No heat in december"by N from Exeter, UK
The hotel staff was mean. We had no heat in our room and I got sick. It is december in London and very cold outside. We had to argue with the 5 different staff members over the lack of heat in our room before anything was done to fix it. At one point they lied and told us that the heat had been fixed...we later found out that nothing had been done about the heat. The hotel is located near two underground stops, so it was convienent. But I would never stay there again. It was a very unpleasant experience. I can't believe I paid to be treated so meanly.
"Dog-eared"by C from Isle of Wight
Overall impression was of a council hostel, rather than a hotel that gave a value for the room rate charged. Why use selotape to hold the wallpaper up?
"The dinning room door needs sorted!!"by H from Ayrshire
All in all my trip to the Pembridge palace hotel was very enjoyable, only point i would make is we where in the basement floor room 1, right next to the Dinning room, and when breakfast was served from 7.30 till 10.00, We were awoken by the squeezing and the thudding of the dinning room door everytime someone opened it. Not good, when you've been out late the night before
"Basic but good value for money"by N from Wirral
We were put in the basement, so we were not able to see the promised views. However, the room was clean and delivered everything it promised. Close to the tube and the amenities of Bayswater. Will definately return there.
"need to be refurbished"by m from birmingham
The hotel was quite old and not really clean. I think an action must be taken for the mouses problem.
"Not The Best but OK"by T from Bournemouth
well it was an ok and for the money very reasonable hotel but the bed could have done with being replaced and the breakfast lineup could have been delt with better but over all it wasn't that bad.
