Description

The hustle and bustle of West London's Bayswater surrounds the relatively peaceful and leafy square on which this Victorian townhouse property is set. Simply furnished guestrooms feature sash windows, cable televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and private, modern bathrooms.
Hotel staff are on duty around the clock, and can offer advice on sightseeing tours and theater bookings. Alternatively, guests can plan their day using the Internet available in public areas. The nearby Porchester Center offers recreational activities such as swimming and yoga as well as extensive spa facilities. Nearer still is the Whiteleys Center, open late for shopping, dining and cinema. The hotel's proximity to two Underground stations (Bayswater and Queensway) means access to London's top attractions is quick and easy, as is that to Paddington Station, from which the Heathrow Express (airport shuttle service) leaves every 15 minutes. Drivers can make the same journey in around 45 minutes at a distance of 14 miles (23 kilometers).

will return

This was my third place in London's Hyde Park. Underground convenient to Circle Line and District Line (Queensway and Bayswater stations) and Bus 70. Pickadilly Line goes to LHR, so transfer at Earl's Court for Bayswater station. Can walk to Marble Arch and Paddington Station. Hotel is very low key; I walked passed it two or three times my second day there. If worn bedspreads bother you, then know that mine was worn clear through in many areas. My bed was way too short (i am 5'10"). Wi-fi was prohibitively expensive and unavailable when I needed it. The computer in the lobby was for looks only (sign posted said it was broken). Breakfast was five pounds, service was fantastic, and the hot chocolate was delicious as were the fruits, pastries, yogurts; a great value. i should like to return again.

good for the price

We stayed here in a triple-room for two nights. If you plan on spending most of your time out of the room, this hotel is a good idea. The room was not dirty, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the area felt very safe. It is close to the Bayswater tube station, so we had no problem getting around. The room was very small and basic, but that is what you would expect for the price. Only two negatives: it was a bit noisy (as in, you could hear the people above you walking around very clearly, and you could also hear the conversations of people walking past the hotel outside), and we had asked the front desk to call a cab for us early on the morning when we left, but they forgot (which almost made us late for our shuttle to the airport). All things considered, we would stay here again.
