Suprisingly high standard in view of the price and compared to other hotels I have used previously, yhough I may have got a good offer that particular night. Friendly and service-minded staff. Nice room - well equiped.

"Avoid the Basement!!!"by E from Boston
I checked in late in the afternoon, as to my surprise, was upgraded to an executive room. The room was very spacious, and well decorated, so I was happy. Until 5:45am the next morning when they began preparing the Breakfast buffet above my head. I could hear teacups being set out, and every time the waiter walked across the room, the entire ceiling rattled and shook as if it were about to fall down. We tried to ignore it at first, but it was absolutely impossible; I went up to the desk to ask for another room, but there were none. All he could offer me was free breakfast. I said all I wanted was sleep. Would have left then, but they said the manager, who deals in refunds would be in at 9am. So I waited with the TV on loud enough to block out the noise. The manager 'could do nothing' but offer me breakfast as well. Ruined my day, as I had to take a nap by 3pm. And i NEVER nap!. If you get a basement room, go across the street, as there are hotels everywhere.
"No hot water!!!!!"by L from Dublin Ireland
Great location, Nice Hotel, pleasent staff, rooms small & uncomfortable, food very expensive, no bar.
"Ideal location"by P from Preston, Lancashire
Very pleasant Hotel, ideally located, for Euston and King's Cross station. £15 for breakfast a bit steep
"OK for a night or so"by R from Berkshire
The hotel was clean and quiet but I chose it because it had nearby secure, underground parking which cost only £6 because I arrived after 6pm and left before 8am (otherwise it's £22 for 24hrs). The staff didn't seem to know what was happening and didn't speak great English. I queued for half an hour to be able to check in because they had the wrong dates for the chap in front of me but also because they had two complaints during this time. The first was that a room key didn't work (again) and the second was that the room someone had been given a key to already had a guest inside! I hope they weren't in the bath! I had no problem with the room and got a good nights sleep which was all that was important to me on this particular trip so I would still consider going back.
"Very comfortable hotel"by C from Swindon
A friendly, small hotel with helpful staff. Room was pleasant, comfortable and very clean, with attractive modern bathroom. Also in a good location near to restaurants and fairly quiet as not a main thoroughfare (although is a daytime bus route).
"Quiet clean central what more do you want"by J from Ireland
I'm not a hotel person as such, I've stayed in everything from fancy hotels to dorms in a hostel. For me as long as the price is ok, pretty central and clean, I'm happy. On this occasion as it was a last minute booking, I went with the Clarendon. Staff were friendly, place was spotless and I got an free upgrade on arrival. With just a three minute walk to the nearest Tube station, it was perfect, plus Leicester Square is less than a 15 minute walk. I did not eat there however so I can't comment on the food. Nice place for a short trip when most of your time is spent sightseeing and not spending it in the hotel.
"russel square's quiet andcozy hotel"by S from San Francisco
The hotel has a great location with near by cafes, theatres, and the undergroud. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel is clean, safe, and I would definatly recommend it to my travelling friends!
