Very little and old rooms but near the central line

I come from Spain to stay in London for 5 nights with my girlfriend and see the city, and i suposse the 3 stars hotel will be better than this, but for only sleep 5 days is enough. Anyway, is very good placed, in the middle of london, near the red line (center line) of underground, at 5 stops of picadilly circus. Other bad things abour or room: we paid for a room with One big bed, and we get two single beds insthead, there is no smoking rooms as it appears on the web, and hot water from the shower was not working properly. So, next time, we will try to get another hotel, but from the same zone if possible, because this is very good placed.

Not that impressed

Start with the positives, it's convenient to Paddington and the receptionist was very friendly on arrival. Full English breakfast is good value at £5. Beyond that, the room was tiny (bathroom door couldn't open fully as it hit the bed) Bed was very low quality, uncomfortable and noisy, and room was not particularly clean. Would not stay there again.

will not use again

Convenient location, but very small rooms, literally have to walk sideways into the bathroom, very noisy during the day and at night.

good value hotel

I took my parents to London for Christmas and after reading other reviews I had my concerns. The hotel was clean, quite near the tube station, easy to find, staff friendly and breakfast very good. Overall we had a very good experience. The only downside was the size of the room, but for just one night we could overlook that.

not impressed

rooms were clean and staff were nice but rooms were also tiny. You could hear every squeak on every floor board around the whole hotel. Can also hear the underground at night when trying to sleep. bring a small suitcase or you won't fit in the room. Very convenient to paddington

Warm 'n' cosy 'n' clean

This is a clean and cosy hotel just five minutes walk from Paddington. A really relaxing hotel in amongst the hustle and bustle of the busy city. The staff are superb and go out of their way to look after you.

One of the better lower budget hotels

I would stay here again for the price and it was cleaned well, bathroom etc. Telephone, fridge and jug. Basic but better value than most for the price. Handy to major rail stations and good local pubs for excellent night meals. Laundry nearby and cheap leave your washing for them to do.

Not Impressed

The rooms that are on the lower ground floor are to be avoided, as the are affected by noise from the kitchen and the dining room. The current state of decor is poor and there are damp problems. The electrics are dubious as there are wires running everywhere which makes you wonder if it actualy passes the nessesery safety requirments. I am not aware of the state of the upper rooms as I was unable to change my room as there were no vacancies. It is a budget hotel but this should not be an excuse for poor accomidation. Booking on line has many advantages but at the end of the day the specification and images can embelish a rundown situation
