First Choice for the Area

This hotel is my first choice if I am going to be in this part of London. Good Tube access is available, as are plenty of local food options. I do consider, however, that the telephone, Internet, and breakfast charges are excessive.

Great Location

I loved the position of this hotel - the Tower of London and the imposing Tower Bridge at the front and the lovely quaint St Katherine's docks at the back with a greta choice of restaurants. Easy access to the Tube. My room a bit shabby, although all facilities and clean and comfortable. I appreciate that teh hotel is undergoing a massive refurb and hope next time to get one of the new rooms.

Just what we wanted

Hotel check in was prompt and proffessional. Hotel public areas were modern and clean, the room furnishings were a bit dated although suitable for the 1 night we stayed, but showed signs of tiredness. Worth staying there just for the view of Tower Bridge from the bar.

Very impressed

Take a stroll over the Tower bridge and turn right on the other side under the bridge itself to discover a quaint alley brimming with restaurants, cafe's and small bars. Best at evening, as a saunter back over the bridge with the panoramic views of London at night is beautiful and romantic.

Not worth it...

Any top end hotel with a check in/out queue that takes 45 minutes is to be avoided in my book!! Staff were very cold as well... Thames view aside, there's no reason for anyone ever to stay here at that price.
