If travelling to the hotel from Victoria Station - go by bus! We had a nightmare lugging cases on the underground - much much quicker by the bus which drops you off a short walk from the hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location for shopping, food and the underground. The staff were very helpful and even forwarded on an item I left in my room. The only downside I can think of is that the hotel is very busy at checkout time so expect to be waiting for an elevator. I will definitely stay there again.

The new London Bridge and Tombs is much more scary than the dungeons.

There is a marks & spencers on oxford street one block away that has a bank on the third floor. Excellent exchange rates for americans. And a grocery store on the basement floor.

Checked in first to room with two single beds. When I asked they said double beds were subject to availability. However they moved us for the second and third nights to a double room which was fine but a little more in need of redecoration than the first room. Did not spoil our stay and all staff were very pleasant. Breakfasts were very good value.
