"Could do better"

The hotel is a stunning and grand victorian building, which is worth a visit just to see the staircase. It is situated right in the middle of Manchester, walking distance to everything. We had room 508 on the top floor. It was very clean but had a damp problem which made it unpleasantly smelly. It had very old single glazing which let the noise from the street straight in. The whole hotel had hardly any ventilation and was extremely hot and stuffy. On top of that if you opened the window the noise from the street was unbearable. Its a shame because if they sorted these problems then this hotel would be amazing.” 03/07/2009
