"Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Place"

I booked this trip and hotel as a birthday present for my boyfriend and wasn't disappointed. All the staff from reception, to the concierge and the cleaners were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a stunning location in Newcastle. It feels very opulent and the facilities are fabulous. The only thing that let it down for us was the room, we booked a standard room and whilst it was very basic it was clean and tidy and we didn't actually spend much time in the room as there is so much to do in Newcastle and we also made the most of the facilities available in the hotel. We did find the rooms uncomfortably hot and the corridors noisy, but in the scheme of things this was a minor complaint. Our stay was lovely and one of the best weekends we had, it's a beautiful hotel in beautiful place. We would definitely recommend it and will certainly be back there soon.” 06/05/2009
