Description

Kings Manor Hotel is set in a former convent and, with its modern glass-fronted foyer, is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The hotel is less than a mile from Portobello beach and its golden sand. Rooms are decorated in warm shades of pink, blue and red; some look towards the sea, some towards the Lammermuir hills. All have complimentary toiletries and newspapers.
The hotel has two bars and two restaurants. The old- fashioned Rosemount Bar has an intimate atmosphere, while the Zest Bar has a livelier atmosphere, attracting locals as well as hotel guests to its glass-fronted bar. Options Bistro is open all day, serving foods ranging from steak and pizza to cappuccino and carrot cake. Lauders restaurant serves contemporary Scottish at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can work off the calories at the Fountains Leisure Club, with its exercise classes, gym and tennis courts. The Balcony Health Club offers Elemis treatments and complementary therapies. Edinburgh's attractions are within easy reach, by public transport or by car. The number 44 bus takes guests to and from the city center for about £1. Taxis can be hailed in the street, although the center of Edinburgh is best explored on foot. Edinburgh Airport is nine miles away.
Area Construction Notice:
Construction is underway next to the hotel as the West Port House is demolished and a flagship office and retail development is built. There is no disruption to hotel services, but there may be some noise disturbance. Construction work will be done weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests reserving a Superior One-Bedroom Apartment or Superior Studio Apartment will overlook the building site. The estimated date of completion is not available at this time.

Comfortable Hotel in Edinburgh

There is a little Bistro in the hotel that is cheaper than the hotel restaurant.

Great Hotel

Leave the car in the car park and get the bus into Edinburgh. Theres loads to do and I didn't have time to cram it all in. The castle is worth seeing and if you can manage it the views from Arthurs Seat over the city are amazing
