If staying here use the bus service to get into the town. The train service is also very handy. the National Sealife Centre is well worth the visit, as is the Bull Ring Shopping Centre, located oposite the New Street Station.

I was a bit apprehensive booking the hotel after reading some negative reviews but i was surprised when i got there. The room was excellent, the staff were helpful. Overall i had a good experience.

Would not recomend this hotel to my worst enemy! The room was in a very poor state - very dodgy smell and very bad decorating skills! The final straw came when the shower came away from the wall, along with the tiles! That was after a cold shower! Complained. which resulted in us being moved to a slightly better room - but even in that room there were two light fittings not working and a remote control that didn't work. Thank god we were only using it for one night for somewhere to put our heads down! Could say alot more but saving that for the letter of complaint.

Everything was fine including breakfast except for:- the TV set in the room only had 5 terrestrial channels and reception was poor; water power to the shower was weak and the shower head was not very efficient.

The standard of this hotel was appalling, there was constant noise all night, doors banging, people shouting and swearing, no hotel employee asked if everything was to standard. This was by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in.

If you do not want to eat hotel food they will give you leaflets of pizza's or curry houses very near to you. Or you can come out of hotel and go to the left where about 100 yards down the road is a fish and chip shop and news agents.
