The room was quite spacious and clean, but the location is quite far of the centre, so for going out in the night, you need to take a taxi back.

This hotel is a significant distance from the centre of old Prague. The cheapest means of travel is the tram which does fortunately run near the hotel. However, the hotel is basically 20 floors of dormitory style accommodation, all rooms with shared bathrooms. The toilet was not even big enough to shut the door whilist using it. The rooms contain nothing but a bed/s, lamp, cupboard and see through curtains, but they were kind enough to leave 2 towels. When I complained to reception about two single beds instead of the double we had booked we were told to push the single beds together. Therefore, unless you are looking for 3rd class hostel type accommodation this hotel is not for you.

To get about i would strongly advise obtaining a 24hr travel voucher for 100ck (3quid) from the gift shop or around the corner of the hotel if it is closed. You can use them on trams and the metro. From the tram stop on the main road get on the number 11 or 55 and get off at Flora and use the underground to Mustek (Green Line Platform 2) and this will take you to the centre of Wenseles Square.

The 19-20% tip is not compulsory - if you do not wish to pay it you will not be asked to. Anything you leave will be politely accepted.

1) Visit the gift shop and buy a 24 hour public transport pass for 100 crowns (about 3 pounds each). You can ride on the trams, busses and underground as often as you like with the nearest tram stop a few minutes walk away (the number 7 tram will get you to the underground in three stops). Don't forget to get it validated or you'll get a hefty fine. 2) Haggle a price before getting in a taxi, if it's got a meter in it then don't ride in it. They charge a criminal amount.
